After months and months of engineering, then trials and errors, and some additions to the burn pile, I have completed the new jig that will easily make cross-cuts of logs on my vertical band saw. I would love to post a photo of my new "invention", but sure as hell somebody will steal my idea. I'll keep it to myself for now.
What this new "invention" will do is allow me to make more wood slices, and very accurate slices, and I won't have to worry about cutting a finger off.
Sounds like an exciting "invention" Sandy. Just one question though... What do you use all those cross cut logs for? I wasn't able to find a photo of your work and how you use them in your shop.
